Spanish and Latin American Culture semester Study - In cooperation with Telemark University College (Høgskolen i Telemark)

For all students who wish to take a semester in South America (Bolivia/Peru), Andes Studies is pleased to inform that we have signed a co operational agreement with (Høgskolen i Telemark - HIT) Telemark University College TUC. Students who enroll for this course are required to have basic Spanish knowledge either from high school or from the introductory course at TUC - HIT.

Spanish and Latin American Culture Semester
This Spanish and Latin American Culture semester entitles students to 30 study points given by TUC (HIT), they can be used as part of a bachelor degree and give the right to study loans and grants from the state (Lånekassen). This course has University College status and both exams and certification are given by TUC (HIT).

The unique course in Spanish and Latin American Culture includes 4 study trips as part of the course without any additional cost for the students!!!
Enjoy 16 weeks experiencing the Andes, learning Spanish and getting to know the culture, the 4 study trips which are a part of the course, will take you through:

Examples of weekend trips, 2 of these are included in the course.

We offer a variety of weekend getaways to hot springs, ritual sites, concert trips, historical sites, jungle adventures, etc. 2 long weekend trips are included as part of the course, the rest you have to pay for, but they are inexpensive and totally worth it. If you miss your course trips, there are no refunds and no exchanges.

How much does it cost?
Welcome to a new way of studying. Welcome to El Poncho Educational Eco center. El Poncho Eco Center is an oasis at the foot of the Andes Mountains. At El Poncho, students will experience the peace and calm of the Cochabamba valley. The whole center was built by hand and it is an example of sustainable architect craftsmanship. Students will live in shared cabins, all of them have private bathrooms.

Today, the center has been finished and it is an attraction with its hobbit town look alike. People from all the world has passed the center and now it is maybe your turn to study in a wonderful and quiet ecological place, even though it is located only 19 km. from the City of Cochabamba, its 800.000 inhabitants, nice cafes, discos, city life and beautiful public areas and museums which students can enjoy.
In addition to this, El Poncho Educational Eco center offers a variety of shorter tours and week end activities to many different destinations for students to join if they want to. This shorter tours are not included in the price of the course, but they are affordable and well guided, offering our students; high security standards and adventure at the same time. Our Bolivian partner Cobodes, is in charge of making your stay a pleasant one with its 17 years of experience in running projects of all sorts.
